Ten years ago in Querétaro, Norma Soto had the opportunity to start working as an a trainee in the Human Resources area in Getecsa. A year later, she had to move to Monterrey and left the enterprise. Just a few months later, an opportunity in Getecsa Monterrey opened and Norma was able to return with us. To this day, she is a crucial part of our organization, working int the Operations & Delivery position. We interviewed Norma Soto to learn more about her trajectory in the company.
I was super excited when I recently started, mainly because of the opportunity that was given to me, since I had no experience in Human Resources, an area that had always interested me. Even though I did not have that experience, I did have some IT knowledge, which eased my incorporation in the recruitment area in Getecsa Querétaro.
I had already met part of the team, and I had liked the recruitment area a lot. At first, I pondered it a lot, mainly because the office was far from me and I was still adapting to life in Monterey. However, they told me that I was going to be supported and that I would have certain flexibility, and that every time I needed support to transport myself, I should report it. This motivated me a lot, and it was like that: every time I needed it, I was able to stay at home working, which simplified me many things with transport and organization with my child.

I have witnessed the entire transformation and implementation of processes in the company. It has been a great growth, but always keeping the good climate and work environment, very close and human. I believe this has maintained as such simply because the director Álvaro Boldo is a person who has that same focus.
There has definitely been a transformation, mainly in the administrative area. New positions have opened, new work cells were created, new processes were defined, and systems were implemented to have better control of the enterprise. There have also been more projects, assignments, and a notable growth in terms of clients.

I went from helping with simple searches to overseeing the whole recruitment process. I began having direct contact with the clients, sending proposals, and giving follow-ups until the consultants entered.
Now I participate in the commercial side with renovations and contracts. I support the tariff negotiation and participate in client meetings. I also manage some facturation systems and am in charge of incidents and questions from consultants. At the moment, I am still preparing myself. I finished a course on Agile Project Management with SCRUM, and I am now studying a course on Communication and Leadership.

I would tell her that she arrived at an excellent company and that she should seize the opportunity to its maximum. That she should be responsible always, enjoy the good work environment and the opportunity that is being given to her, and that she will meet excellent people.
Simply being part of the company growth, contributing my experience, and constantly adapting myself to its evolution. In spite of all the time I have worked here, I feel that I can keep giving more and keep developing myself. I believe I know very well the processes and ways of working of Getecsa and that I can shape myself as the enterprise changes.
I am also proud of having collaborated with different teams in Mexico City, Panamá, Querétaro, and Monterrey, understanding from up close their work manners and contributing to the development, transformation, and expansion of this great team.
Many people have been key to my development in Getecsa. Alejandro Ortega, Delivery Manager, was a fundamental part of my initial formation, and I have learned so much from him. Elizabeth Beltrán, Human Resources Manager, has been a great person who has also taught me a lot, in work matters as well as personal matters, and I also considered a great friend.
Álvaro Boldo, even though I have hardly worked directly with him, has always been very kind and close. He also inspires me with what he has achieved with the enterprise, with the different teams, and mentoring practically everyone.

I am very thankful for the opportunity, and I will keep preparing myself to contribute more each time to our team. I also hope to see it grow much more and to be part of that growth. We must keep giving our best to improve day by day, because it is never enough.
I am very thankful for the confidence that you have had in me and that you have made me grow personally and professionally. I will keep giving the best of myself to keep growing and contributing to the enterprise, always with the openness to take new challenges and responsibilities.
